Twisting My Stomach Into Knots

[Sound Of Settling – Death Cab For Cutie]

I’ll write this before I get too lazy to. Today, David and I went to the city to meet up with Jac after he accounting exam.

The train ride up we spent talking about Naruto and Detective Conan. It is fun to talk to someone who’d seen a lot of the episodes. He also told me about some Death Note stuff which sounded pretty interesting.

We got to the Exhibition Hall where the exam was taking place, and we realized we had 30 minutes left. So we walked around the building to the Museum, and looked around a bit (we were going to take Jac into the museum since she hasn’t been before) and when we went back out, we started discussing what I would do if I’d bought the Exhibition Hall as my house. The renovations I would do, etc. It got a bit too wishful thinking, but I did enjoy the idea. Yeah, because I can make the museum part of my backyard, and have the IMAX theater as my personal theater. Easy. Ha.

I saw Steph W when she came outside, and she gave me a decent hug, which is all thanks to my awesome advice.

Saw Josh N, and so we were waiting with him when Jac came out. Steph W and her friends decided to take the tram to Melb Central, and David, Josh, Jac and I decided to walk to Melb Central, seeing if we can win. We did!

We all sat together and had Nandos for lunch. I think I might have weirded out Steph’s friends. I discovered that Nandos have Extra Extra Hot Peri Peri sauce. It burns! I LOVED IT! Will have it always now.

We made Jac decide on what to do after lunch, because she never ever ever ever makes a decision. In the end I suggested that we go to Myers so I can look at alarm clocks for her birthday. So, technically, she didn’t decide. Still, as David said, baby steps.

On the train home, Swin called David, and I stole the phone and talked to her for the ride. WHAT!? I haven’t talked to her in months and she can always call David later.

Said bye to David and his friend Matt at Glen Waverley, and Jac and I went to the Glen food court to bum since I don’t want to go home. We played Fruit Ninja, and I beat the best score that Jac couldn’t beat on her iPod, meaning now she really can’t beat it.

Tomorrow, I’m going to buffet with Mandy and the rest. Really looking forward to it! Gonna save me a bunch of money with the 2 hour ticket after 6 pm thing haha.

I had a chat with Steph on MSN just then, and she made me see just how awesome Jac is. So I will be more grateful from now on about being able to be Jac’s friend.

Our Concentration It Contains A Deadly Flaw

[Maintain Consciousness – Relient K]

I finished the Glee season finale today! It was so emotional – without spoiling, it tied up everything pretty nicely…with plenty of hand-covering-mouth moments.

Which means I finished Vampire Diaries, NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, FlashForward and now Glee.

Yes, Lie to Me is still on the TV, I decided to watch House along with the TV even though I know it’s ending as well, and Dexter comes back in…SEPTEMBER!

So I don’t know what to do now, in terms of shows. I suppose I can keep working through my Conan.

I am still slowly getting used to the feeling of “I have nothing to do and it’s okay”.

A Footnote In Someone Else’s Happiness

[Does Your Husband Know – Fall Out Boy]

Happy Chinese New Year, and happy Valentines for 2010!

This is YEEEEEEEEEEAR…of the TIIIIGER! (Sing that to Eye Of The Tiger).

I didn’t write about Thursday, so this will be fast, since it’s quite late.

On Thursday I went to Monash Uni to play badminton with Jenny, Lois and He-. It was a very hot day, and so I sweated a LOT. But it was a good feeling to finally do something active again – even though I knew at the time, and surely enough it did happen, my body would pay for it afterwards.

After badminton (in which He- soundly beat me) we went to Maccas (yes the irony isn’t lost on me) for lunch. Just managed to catch the 12 – 2 lunch specials, so got a six-dollar Quarter Pounder meal.

Said bye to Lois and He- after lunch, and went with Jenny to Cold Rock. It started raining by then (just started. Little did we know how bad it would get) so we went into the Glen and hid out in the food court. I left with Mom came to pick me up, and when we were about 2 minutes away from the front door it really broke loose. The 10 second dash from car to door actually soaked me.

And my area had it easy. South Melbourne and Flinders, as reported on the news, were at times knee deep in water.

Jenny told me afterwards that after I left the power went out at the Glen and she was left stranded there in the dark.

I laughed.

Friday was uneventful; took Mom to the doctors for her routine checkup, and bought pizza home because Dad wasn’t going to be home for dinner and obviously she doesn’t trust my cooking.

Today I woke up after having slept 10 hours without realizing it again – seriously, I thought I’d broken the habit! – and went out to finally buy the coleslaw I’ve been craving the entire day prior. I ate coleslaw while watching the Vancouver opening ceremony, but went downstairs to watch Conan movies halfway through.

Got my computer back – as you can see – and now I’m running on Windows 7. The interface is still something I should get used to.

That’s a quick catch up for now. Originally was going to go to St Kilda fest and/or movies with Jenny tomorrow/today (technically today, by now) but she has to stay home to take care of her brother. So postponage!

Clouds Are Shrouding Us In Moments Unforgettable

[Sunday Mornings – Maroon 5]

Yesterday Jenny came over to my house. Which was great except Dad didn’t leave any food lying around so I served her instant noodles. Now, we owe her a meal as a family.

We played three games of pool. Well technically two and a half. I lost the 1st game fair and square, I lost the 2nd game having potted the black on my first shot, and I gave up halfway through the third game. It is shameful how I lost to Jenny. JENNY! Of all people.

Then we started to watch a Detective Conan movie, but I kept on making fun of it so we stopped. Instead we went through all my movies and decided to watch The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was really awesome because a) Jenny was there (she’s yelling at me on the phone right now to write that part) b) one of the characters was a vampire and c) they had so much ass kicking! Ace movie.

After the movie we had about 2 hours left until she had to go, so we went upstairs with nothing to do. She saw my Tom and Jerry DVD (that DVD has got me through some boring times) so we watched it. She is the first person I met who rejoiced when Jerry is hurt and whimpers when Tom is hurt.

Well, it was quite a fun day. I know this wouldn’t strike the interest of many readers, but this was written for my own benefit.
