All I ever needed was to eat popcorn with you

[Everything Sucks (When You’re Gone) – MxPx]

And so today marks the 4th month of which I have been dating the truly lovely Amelia. For an awful moment this morning we forgot what  we did to celebrate our 2 months, but a quick flick through my blog – ah trusty friend – reminded us that I nearly died eating at Crazy Wing at Glenny.

But, alas, today we decided to go to Doncaster Westfield Shopping Center. Now, before I write any more, I should note that Mela doesn’t really like going to places she’s not been before for long periods of time, but due to either mis-communication or grievous fault on my behalf, I didn’t know this, so I planned for us to take a 40 minute bus ride to Shoppo, a place I kind of know, and a place she’s never been to. It was a cold day, and she was feeling slightly sick, but determined to make the best of today.

She read stuff on my phone on the bus ride there while I cradled her head, and then when we got there, we immediately headed to eat, being so hungry. We went to the foodcourt, known as The Drum, and she wasn’t feeling hungry so she only got a small salad (which turned out to be massive anyway) while I decided to pig out at Spudbar…which turned out to be a bowl of potatoes at the bottom…and then heaped with loads of Bolognese sauce, sour cream, japalenos, chilli flakes, cos lettuce and something else I forgot. But when I mixed it, it became a bowl of not that appetizing looking goo…that tasted amazing. Albeit I got bad breath. Originally decided to give the tummy a rest and be able to get the $2 Double Cheeseburgers but Mela felt sick, so we just went window shopping instead. Spent a good few hours doing that, until she felt so sick we had to sit down and rest.

Had coffee/mocha at a chocolate lounge, where the girl serving us complimented me on my hair (yey). Stayed there for a bit just chatting about how sweet the chocolate was, though it was great chocolate, then we walked around a bit more. We ended up walking around for hours because we wanted to eat at the sushi train at the food court which opened at 6pm, so we wandered around until my feet got really sore, and she got upset because, like I mentioned before, strange place with nothing to do. We sat in front of the TV display at Myer for a bit watching this HD 3D TV. At 6, the sushi train slowly opened, but it wasn’t really producing anything. We ate 2 plates, and realized they were 5 bucks each for altogether 4 pieces of food. Paid for it (got weird looks from the waiters) and decided to bus back to Glen to eat at a familiar place – Mela was getting really sadface and that made me sadface too, it’s an anniversary after all.

We ended up eating at Star East Cafe, sharing a plate and an entree. She started feeling better halfway through the bus ride back after loads of cuddling, and finally told me what she thought I already knew. We then went to the library where she picked out a picture book for me to read to her to cheer her up, and I put on funny voices until a librarian walked past us.

But yes, 4 months! 5 months will come and go before we realize it, it being around Valentines and…her hating Valentines Day. Then Uni will start, testing us on our bond and ability to not be around each other all the time, seeing as she goes to a different uni, us having different amount of contact hours, and her starting a new course as a 1st year and me in my final. But I have confidence we will hit 1/2 year no worries!

And I like that there are still things to learn about her, like that she hates new places…

Happy 4 months darling!

Alex.

Graffiti decorations under a sky of dust

[Runaway – Linkin Park]

Not the best song for the situation but that’s shuffle for ya.

Overdue post: Monday just past saw the 3 month anniversary of Mela and me!

We met up at Glen station with warm and happy hugs, excited (but not surprised) that we made it to now, and without issue too! Took the train up into the city so that we could go see Mai at her store for Mela to give her what Mai ordered from UO. I ended up putting on the Beats by Dr Dre headphones they had on display, plug it into my own phone for better music, and playing Fruit Ninja on their display iPad while Mela and Mai talked. At least, they talked for a while about Malaysia (the former being from, the latter going to), but after a while, when they realized I can’t hear them, they just called me names.

After saying bye to Mai to let her work, we took the train down to Windsor station where Dani has taken me a couple of times to let Mela op-shop. We strolled along Chapel St walking into any store that caught Mela’s fancy, but at the end of the day (spoiler alert) she didn’t find anything that suited to her likes. We walked up and down Chapel St, reaching Jam Factory and then back a few times without realizing it. It was no surprise, then, that I was extremely tired.

We had lunch at Lucky Coq because I’d been wondering about their $4 pizzas – and they lived up to expectations! Gourmet and crunchy, but full of flavor, and come on they’re 4 bucks! Washed it down with some Dapple Cider, and took a few photos with Mela (or, well, we took photos of each other).

We then we to Topshop which was the original intent of going to Chapel St, along with the op-shops. It was crowded in there with many many late-teens, early twenties girls walking around, and quite a few of them attached to their boyfriends. Mela and I tried on two things each, but the price-tag (in proportion to how much the clothes wow’d us) coaxed us to meekly pass the clothes back to the exhausted looking sales assistants.

After Topshop, we strolled back down Chapel (yes, I know…) after a misunderstanding about where I’d wanted to go to get some iced-coffee/milkshake (I wanted Soda Rock which was just a stop past Jam Factory, and Mela thought I meant back down near Prahran station or something), so by the time the confusion was cleared, we ended up getting an ice coffee at this place which boasts that theirs is the best in town, but really they just had really sweet whip. We trammed back up to South Yarra Station, thus completing our lap of Chapel for the 4th or 5th time, and attempted to take the Cranbourne train home, except the signs were off and we stood on the wrong platform for about 15 minutes.

I took a new bus home, and realized that it took at least 10 minutes off my trip. It led Mela and I to agree that in the future when we wanted to go to the city together, we should just meet up at Oakleigh station, which is easier on the both of us.

So, my feet were throbbing and sore after two long shifts over the weekend and the big day of walking, but no, I had to pluck up the strength to go out once again for Tuesday…the dreaded and long-ago-promised viewing of Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Long story very short, I started live-tweeting and being sarcastic about the movie at the start, but when Mela got upset at me (don’t get me wrong, she’s not a Twilight fan, but I think she disliked having to sit next to someone who was constantly complaining) I stopped. The movie was…yeah anyway then we had some food and got our ears pierced together (one ear each) before I kissed her goodbye for her work.

And, today, once again, went out to her place so we could buy Cathy’s presents (and she got me a 3DS, but refuses to let me even see it before Christmas…don’t worry, I’m getting her a Wii, so it’s all not-awkward or anything) and hang out. She ended up being called into work last minute, and accepted, so we went off at around 3.

Tomorrow I work a rather long shift in the evening, and on Friday is Cathy’s get together, so I don’t really get time to just sit down and take a break until Saturday…an entire week since these hectic days started!

Oh, and Mela’s friend Andrew helped me get Skyrim running, so I’ll be trying to play it in the coming days, but I’m not so confident yet. It’ll just take some time! I got used to FFS X2…right?

Alex.

A dotty recap

I’ve been slacking off in the documentation of my activities…so I will dot point what has happened since last week (a feat I don’t often attempt, lest it decreases my writing skills)…

Starting from last Saturday:

Saturday:

  • Went to the dentist to get my teeth checked up and cleaned.
  • Went to the Glen to hang out with Mela a bit.
  • Ended up buying the Hunger Games trilogy box set.
  • Had lunch while standing up from the lack of seats – it was a weirdly busy day at the Glen.
  • Went home and read the Hunger Games (1st book) in one sitting.

Sunday:

  • Rushed out of the house because parents left later than expected, leaving me the tiniest window to catch up to my bus.
  • Did manage to catch the bus, and went to have lunch with Mela before her shift.
  • Went home but didn’t really feel like reading the second book.
  • Downloaded a lot of eBooks – for free!

Monday:

  • Stayed home all day because I promised my parents I would.
  • Mela was having a terrible day, and I couldn’t go out to make her feel better.
  • She ended up going to work as a last minute notice.

Tuesday:

  • Went to Chadstone to hang out with Mela, Cindy and Brendan.
  • Shopped! Got a new pair of Vans, a new YD waistcoat and Mela surprised/snuck past me by buying me a shirt I liked before I could stop her.
  • Pestered Ser- at work. She had her eyes on a “cute” guy who was working at Gloria Jeans opposite her. He wasn’t cute.
  • Took the bus home with Ser-, Brendan and Mela – Cindy went to work.
  • Cindy bought a shirt, which is something she doesn’t usually do. Mela bought a pretty dress. Brendan bought a strawberry milkshake.

Wednesday:

  • Went to Knox with Mela so that she wouldn’t be bored at home before her late shift.
  • Hung out and I checked in everywhere with Foursquare.
  • Were disgusting everywhere we went holding hands and such.
  • Looked at a ring at Michael Hill but I ended up chickening out because it was just a bit above my price-range.
  • Both of us got freaked out when the lady brought up lifetime warranties.
  • Got some chocolate caramel popcorn from the new popcorn place.
  • Had a massive chicken club sandwich for lunch.
  • GOT SLAM DUNK FROM MELA!
  • Big hugs and kisses goodbye because the day ended way too soon.

Thursday:

  • Late start, went to meet up with Annie, Vania, Marvin, Julia and Tiff at MC with Mela.
  • Mela surprised me again by showing up on my bus.
  • Had lunch with the group, then they went to see the mummy exhibition while Mela and I stayed in State Library games room so she could play Pokemon while I watched Despicable Me on her lap.
  • Head scratchies!
  • Caught back up with the group and went to Giraffe for dinner. They were all so hungry they all finished their risottos.
  • Played Big 2 for a bit – Annie remains unskillful.
  • Went home – head scratchies on the train back! Mela says she pampers me too much.
  • Went to bed early because I felt tired and sick – Mela stayed up and played Pokemon until 2 am.
  • Slept 11 hours and got up today to laze around before going to Dani’s dinner later!

More to blog about tomorrow! Why, it’s Brendan’s annual birthday party! How the time flies.

Just in case they’re wondering

[Baby, It’s Fact – Hellogoodbye]

You know…Winter is over technically I should be stopping the lyrics title. Alright, starting tomorrow.

Basically, on a sort of impromptu request went to Chadstone with Mela and her friend Ser- and only realized when I was on the bus towards the place that it was Chadstone VIP night and I don’t shop.

I suppose it was a good thing I did go, because Mela ended up getting some food poisoning. Poor thing threw up, and then got really cold. At least her dad came to pick her up from Chaddy (on the way giving me a ride home) and now she’s going to get home safely, because otherwise she’d have to take a long bus ride home.

But yes, now I will go tackle that one last not-that-difficult assessment, and then be free.

You are my wings to fly, you are the wind beneath them

[Falling In Love – Falling Up]

Today Mela (Amelia) came to visit me at uni. I hadn’t seen her since Anberlin last week and it has been a long week of uni stress, so it was damned good to see her again.

After class we went to Maccas for me to get the Pokemon toy, and after we’d eaten we had a bit of time until the next train, so Mela quickly went to look at shoes, seeing as her current pair is a size too big and always fell off. We went into Sportsgirl, and it seemed like everyone there had the same idea, because at some point Mela managed to squeeze through two people, and I got caught between a shoe rack and those people because my bag is bigger, and she never noticed that I was left behind, so she sort of went into the next aisle, and I was just stuck there.

Got persuaded to go to Janmay’s party tomorrow despite not having done/started my next essay, which I am very very concerned about. More motivation to gun it tonight and tomorrow morning, and gun it some more Saturday night and all of Sunday!

Alex.

P.S. Not drinking tomorrow, no fun stories for you, WordPress. Not that I wrote much about what happened last time when I got uber drunk, mostly because it’s damned embarrassing. It did lead me to meet Mela in a very indirect and humiliating way, though, so that’s good.

I wonder if it even makes a difference to try?

[Makes Me Wonder – Maroon 5]

I went to see the final Harry Potter installment yesterday/day before, but I will write about the entire 2 day thing here before giving my judgement on the movie.

I got up at 7 am to meet up with Vinchi to go see X-Men First Class (we’d put it off for ages). She’d never been to Jam Factory, so it was one hell of a tram ride of her asking we were there yet. It was also REALLY windy and cold, and the girl was wearing a flannel shirt with a light jacket.

We were a bit late to the movie, and the theater was pretty much empty save for one other guy. The movie was pretty good, despite my having seen half of it through GIFs on Tumblr. It was a fun moment when Xavier reached out with his mind for the first time and we saw Little Storm on screen.

After the movie we went back into the CBD to have lunch, and Vinchi took me to a really small Chinese-run Japanese restaurant (which is pretty much every other Japanese restaurant in the city), and I had super salty Katsu-Don. That wasn’t really a highlight, but I just had to remember that the place sucked. I forgot the name of the restaurant but it’s on Russel St close to Crazy Wings.

We walked back to Gloria Jeans on Elizabeth for her to quench her Ice Chocolate thirst, and I soundly beat her Fruit Ninja Arcade best score. Before we knew it, it was time to meet Dani, so I picked up my things from Vinchi’s convenient city-based apartment (10 minutes’ walk to Uni, 2 minutes to work, 30 seconds to a 7/11), and headed off to an awesome night of not sleeping.

We went to Dani’s mom’s apartment to help babysit Lyshana. This, by the way, is little precious and very intelligent and great at dancing (even at such a young age) Lyshana:

We played around with Lysh’s Legos, which basically consisted of Dani and I making cars or ships, and Lyshana ripping it apart and us pretending that our fleet of warships have been destroyed. The kid finds amusement out of our cries of terror.

We also filmed our questions video deal, which was funny to start with but Lysh kept on interrupting. Halfway through my video you can hear “I need to go toilet”. After the videos are done, we realized that it was pretty late and dinner time, so we took Lyshana to Bel’s apartment where I was going to spend the rest of my night (bar the movie, of course).

When we were at Bel’s apartment, her older sister Anita was still there. We got out some paper for Lyshana to draw on, and she was of course talking loudly, and Anita emerged from her room saying “I hear a baby, who does she belong to?”

Sonam, Tiff and Julia were at the apartment already, and Bel had gone to get pizza. I told Lysh to show Sonam her drawings, so she went up to the jetlagged girl (having just touched down from Canada earlier that day) with her masterpiece, to be greeted with “Oh wow, that’s beautiful! …What is it?”

We spent most of dinner discussing how creepy kids’ cartoons are these days, as well as reminiscing the awesome ones we had as children. Bel put on X-Box Kinect, and Lyshana soundly beat 3 19-year-olds in rounds of Rally Ball. After Dani and Lysh left, Julia, Tiff and I played a few more rounds on Kinect, with Tiff providing, as usual, the most number of laughs. Bel brought this huge container of Red Vines.

We then put on Deathly Hallows Part 1 to get ready for the movie later that night, but the mood was somewhat tainted by all of us (mostly me) making comments about the movie, and Sonam falling asleep and dreaming that we were the 3 Brothers. Bel sat by and made her tiny ships in light bulbs. When Dobby died, everyone sort of went quiet and there was a lot of blinking.

A bit before we left, we got out all the trundle beds, and having failed to bring a sleeping bag, I was told I’d sleep on 2 sofa cushions on the floor, wedged between two trundles. I’ll just say now, without meaning to, I ended up getting the largest sleeping area on the couch.

At around quarter past eleven, Annie and I had to leave for Hoyts, because we thought it would take us a long time. We got there perhaps 20 minutes early, and stood around feeling out of place, being the only ones in normal clothes. We saw a few what we thought were owls, a lot of slutty female Harrys, the treats trolley on the Hogwarts Express, a few Death Eaters, and a lot of just really random scars drawn on.

The movie itself disappointed me slightly. I suppose on its own it would have been pretty well done, but after the hype and the first part which I still deemed to be better, it felt rushed like the 5th and the 6th ones were. The Snape parts were good, but not as emotionally hitting as I wanted it to be, and the whole story of young Dumbledore and Grindelwald were COMPLETELY omitted. The movie aimed for many jokes, some of which were great, some of which kind of felt lame. It was definitely good to see it with an enthusiastic crowd, though, because everyone applauded and whooped when Ron and Hermione finally kissed – which, even after the eye-popping Hermione/Harry kiss, still managed to be an amazing moment.

After the movie, Annie and I walked the long walk back to Bel’s. We did our film-students analysis, and kept warm by practically jogging. When we got back, the others, of course, had already been back, and we did our washing up and Sonam and Tiff somehow had an argument over brushing their teeth. We sat around for a while because we found out Bel actually had to get up in 2 hours to take a friend to the airport, so we all stayed up talking and listening to Annie play Kpop on her iPod.

At around 4 or 5, everyone simultaneously decided to all just go to sleep. It was initially very hard because Tiffany was still wide awake and laughing, to the point where Julia told her to just close her mouth, and forget about closing her eyes. I myself prepared to try to sleep in the city apartment – having gotten used to the suburbia quiet – when Annie’s blocked sinus started announcing its existence in funny but very distinct little snores. When Bel’s friend called to be let in, it was nearly 6, and I had given up on sleep, instead opting to lie on my back and watch the light filter through the blinds like a weird zebra trip.

At around 6:30, 7, Sonam rolled over and pushed Annie off the trundle, making her fall on top of Tiff who took my little sofa-cushion bed, and so Tiff and Annie both became awake. Tiff was feeling sick from lack of sleep and how hot it was under the blanket, so after some rather noisy packing, she slipped out to go home for a quick nap.

Annie went back to exercising her sinus, and I sat awake, playing with my ring. I suppose my sleep deprived brain shut down temporarily, and I found myself waking up at around 8, then at around 8:30. At around 9, everyone got up, and Annie, Sonam and I got ready to meet Dani and April for breakfast at 10. We said goodbye to Julia who was waiting for Bel to come back to take her home, and left the apartment to…

Rain. Somehow we forgot which city we lived in, and were even slightly surprised that it was raining. We met up with Dani and April, the latter of which seemed to have stolen Timberlake’s sexy. We had breakfast at The Quarter on DeGraves, and I dropped my bacon. It was not shaping up to be a good day. To cheer me up, Dani took pictures of me on Instagram. Unfortunately, I was so tired that I came out looking super Asian – tiny small eyes.

After breakfast, April, Dani and I met up with Maggie at Flinders Station. We went to Chapel Street to shop – or rather, they shopped while I tagged along and dozed infrequently on husband chairs. I think at some point I just turned off all smart retorts and just told Dani her face was [insert adjective here]. Carmaine joined us a small while later, and they went to a lot of stores and got a lot of discount goodies at Op shops.

We went to Dani’s South Melb apartment in the afternoon (my God I missed being there. It felt so familiar climbing those deadly flights again), and I took a quick nap in Dani’s new makeshift mattress bed – it was strange to be in her room without her walls being covered by posters.

Went home, and had a lot of Tumblr catching up to do, so despite being at nearly 30 hours with no proper sleep, I stayed up. I slept at 11, and ended up gaining consciousness at 5 pm the next day. Oops.

It was a darn good day/night/day.

Alex.

P.S. Sorry for the very late posting. The original date of writing was 14th of July, which was timely. I forgot I’d saved a draft, so I posted it on the 26th.

Oh my, I don’t mind being the other guy

[Little Of Your Time – Maroon 5]

I went shopping with Jen today, and she took me around a lot of stores. At some point, my enthusiasm to help her out boiled dry, and I was left a burning whistling mess, making fun of every piece of clothing I saw…

And one thing that it led me to notice was that store mannequins NEVER seem to stand/sit in normal positions, especially the female ones. Ignoring the fact that if an actual human was that thin, they’d just drop dead, the poses that those mannequins pull are not ones you’ll find yourself in when wearing the clothes that they model.

I don’t know, man, if I’m going to fork out that much money for clothes I won’t look good in slumped low on a seat, but rather would need to pull a gravity defying yoga pose, is it actually worth buying?

Alex.

Holy Orange Jesus!

Today was Dani’s birthday dinner. And as bad a mood as I am in now (being completely irrelevant to Dani and her birthday), I think I will do my best to write about it cheerfully.

So I was a few minutes late, but I met Dani at Flinders Station. She was wearing a hat from Beth, so even though Beth couldn’t come down, she was there in headwear.

I re-met Theresa, and met Corey. And Mel was there, and her hair was green. It was no longer red.

Holy shit, Mel is Ramona.

Dani really liked the present I put together, which is really just a bunch of small nothings that’s more memories than anything. But she liked it, and that’s what was important.

After a quick coffee charge at DeGraves, we set out to Windsor, where Mel and Dani know some good Op Shops. And so, as shopping with Dani usually entails, a car crash of musty books and soft shirts and doorways and curtain change-rooms dominates my memory.

I found a really cute toy of two dinosaurs with their necks entwined, and I got it for Jen for her own personal reasons. It was the only thing I bought today but I was pretty damn happy with it.

We went into a pet store, and there was this kitten with a patch on its chin. I called him Shannon Noll. Shannon was cute. It winked at me.

We went to Grill’d for lunch, and I didn’t want to spend too much money, plus I couldn’t finish an entire Grill’d burger. So I bought the Kids Meal (and the checkout chick was nice enough to let me get it), which came with this cute as mini burger, the yummy chips, A FRUIT JUICE BOX, AND A COLORING PAGE.

I colored a blue cow. It was great.

We also went to a bunch of comic book stores in Windsor, and then later on to Minotaur which is on Elizabeth Street. I have never really been into a comic book store before, and the place is bloody awesome. I think I might be going to them more often, just for fun merchandise. I really wanted to walk into the comic book store with a musical t-shirt like Koothrapali on TBBT. I would link you to the video but my net is capped (with 10 days to go, I am screwed).

Corey is a huge comic fan – he and Mel had a discussion over who is more powerful, Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen, or Peter Petrelli from Heroes. Seeing as Peter Petrelli can absorb any super power near him, and has since learned to keep those powers, he would therefore have Dr Manhattan’s power and more. BUT, Dr Manhattan’s power isn’t really a power, it’s more derived from the fact that his body is pure energy. Is it possible for Peter to absorb the power and stay human? Because where would his powers come from, if his body is human?

We went back to the city, passing MacRob on the tram (naw), and after Corey satisfied his craving for Churros, we went to Red Silks (where else. Honestly, we go there too much).

Anyway, that’s roughly where the day went sour, because mom made me go home early. As in, I was halfway through dinner and she called me to leave. I couldn’t even stay for cake, much less Galactic Circus later on. It’s not even that I wanted to have some fun (even though I did, because I hadn’t been able to go out for the entire past week), but I RARELY get to see Dani these days, and the people at the dinner aren’t exactly daily meet-ups either, except for Mai.

So, I am home now.

Still, good day.

Alex.

P.S., the title is derived from the fact that Dani somehow misread my handwriting in the card as “Jesus” instead of “juice”.

She Sits On Fences

[Jenny – The Click Five]

I went to Chadstone to buy stuff today, and dragged Jac along. On the bus to the Glen, I saw Bianca walking along the road, so I pulled a creepy and asked her how her stroll was via text.

I also borrowed HP and the Deathly Hallows, so I will be reading it before the movie comes out!

After much walking and walking, I finally got a pair of jeans from Target (haha, yes, I know, but I had a gift voucher for that), and a top from Factorie. (The picture only shows the top, but the jeans look like the one I’m wearing anyway.)

Ew, I’m such a poser. I even have the camera in the shot.

There was a moment when I was trying to decide what Death Note Jac would be if she was one. As I have shotgunned L, I said Jac is Ryuk. She didn’t appreciate that because Ryuk isn’t good looking, so I kept thinking. Then I said, “Well you can’t be Light, because he is incredibly smart.” I took a step or two away in anticipation.

Ten seconds later, Jac shouted, “OH! OI!”

We were looking jeans and there was a kind that “accentuates and hugs your curves”. I laughed and said to Jac that there’s no point in her getting that kind anyway, because she “is too thin to have curves, but rather corners”. The amount of walking we did meant that Jac wanted to sit at a couch for nearly half an hour.

Tomorrow, it’s bowling! I get to see Dani and April again, as well as a few uni friends I haven’t seen in a while.

Alex.

Gary Oak Was The Nice Guy All Along!

I saw this post on Tumblr today that made me re-think a large part of my childhood.

(If you’re not a Pokemon fan, chances are you’re not gonna get this post…I mean you’re gonna get it, you just won’t find this amusing)

Gary Oak Was The Nice Guy All Along!

Warning: the article may cause some readers to be upset, as it contains the death of a Pokemon. This basically outlines the scenario of the first series (Kanto region) but emphasizes a detail that, in our haste to Catch ‘Em All, we missed. It made me feel horrible!

In similar news, I decided to start FireRed again, on my laptop, with the VBA emulator. I remember that I’d gotten as far as Lavender Town the previous time that I’d played FireRed emulated, but I’d lost the files. I started at lunch time today, and, at nearly 5pm, I am close to finishing Brock off. I feel pretty good about that, but then again I’d more or less memorized what I need to know and do up to this point.

…Oh and I have a walkthrough [hides from disapproving readers].

I also should PROBABLY get back to the Pokemon Diamond I’m halfway through on my NDS. But I’ve left it for so long (the last time I played it was before my 17th birthday and I’m turning 19 in 3 months) I’d forgotten what I was trying to achieve.

Anyway, apart from that, everything’s pretty peachy. Uni is back tomorrow (let’s hear you say “FUCK NO”) but to my delight, weather is starting to cool down.

Oh! OH! I just realized I’d never written about shopping on Friday!

On Friday Jen and I went shopping together. She was up for a binge trip anyway, so indeed in the first 20 minutes, she’d bought a bow hair clip and a batwing Dangerfield jacket. We went to Harbour Town, and I got a pair of Adidas sneakers (or, as Katherine calls them, “kicks”). Went into Forever New (a shop that Meghan talks about all the time) and Jen got another bow headband (we looked at a bunch of weird ass ones first, though. One looked like a bird flew into your head, and died there).

Went back to Melb Central, and went to Myers with Josh to look at more clothes. FOUND NOTHING! Shattered.

Came home exhausted, and had Katherine tell me that at Valleygirl there was a sale. Oh and I didn’t find Factorie…because it was upstairs at Harbor Town.

Okay! Sorry, Jen, for not writing about my awesome day out with you!

Well, now I shall go upload my 365 for today.

Alex.
