Breakfast at….School

I haven’t posted anything in a while so I guess a quick “stuff-that-happened” won’t hurt.

Today was the senior school breakfast morning. So instead of sleeping in like we usually would day after parent/teachers, we went normal time to school, and it was bloody cold in the morning.

Anyway, got to school, lined up (well I cut in line but as a Yr 12 I thought it my right to, anyway) and waited for the food to be served. Well, no, it was a buffet style sort of thing, but still, waited.

Carmaine showed up, much to my surprise, because she said she wasn’t going then she was and etcetera…confusing.

Still lining up, and then the line moved forward and we all grabbed a plate. Beside the plates, a sign was hung, that read “$6 for a plate (which we all have paid already) and extra $1 for extra”. “Extra” meant whatever you couldn’t fit on your plate.

Ahh, all those hours of Tetris is coming in handy.

I asked for my food to be put in a certain way so that all spaces are filled, and nothing will tip over, I piled my plate rather luxuriously, in my opinion.

Too luxuriously, I wasn’t able to finish it all. But it was a gooooood breakfast. I sat with D.P., Carmaine, Est- and Lisa LB, just randomly chatting and eating. Carmaine and Lisa LB busted their plastic forks. Men.

Didn’t see Eunice, but she told me later she was inside. Bee was away today, and Fel was too lazy.

So that was my morning. The rest of they day was pretty normal, except I managed to side-track Mr Sho in class again today. Win.

Woman Mario Player

Mm not such an effective play on “woman driver”. Not that I’m sexist against myself.

I had a triple free this afternoon, as I have had for the past 6 months. However today Julia joined me, I think one of her teachers was absent.

I was in the library attempting to start Chapter 5, and wrote perhaps half a page. I then gave up and played some Tetris.

Julia joined me, and was a bit bored watching me play Tetris, so I exited and asked her, “What would you like to do?”

She did her “I dunno” shrug. She hinted that she likes Mario Kart or “anything Mario really” and when Mario Kart didn’t work out online, I found a site which allows her to play old-school Mario.

And so that made my day. Julia’s used to the Mario controls on the DS, and not on the keyboard, and despite her best intended efforts, sometimes she just forgets to jump.

There was a part where the turtle shell would come at her (which would cause her to die) and she couldn’t jump over the pipe out of the way. So instead everytime the shell ricocheted back towards her she jumped frantically, not wanting to die. After all, at that point, she’d died about 5 times.

She’d get ready to jump a chasm by saying “Ok I’ll do a running start” and then forget to jump so she’d just run straight to death.

I suppose it’s no fun me talking about it, it was a “you had to be there and laughing at her” sort of thing.

Thanks, Julia, for a wonderful afternoon. Mr Gucci (not his real name) glared at us several times.

I’m a dick…I’m addicted to you…

While I was thinking of a snappy title I remembered that weird-ass song by Simple Plan.

So, going with a non-my-life-is-shit-because blogging style, I think I might share a few things that I’m quite into at the moment.

Firstly, and I know it’s disgusting that I’m eating it for breakfast, but I love MICROWAVE POPCORN!

I especially like how sometimes, because the flavor isn’t distributed properly, one particular popcorn would taste saltier and greasier than the others. Mm, cholestrole…

Speaking of cholestrole and heaps of salt, I like those Campbell’s CHUNKY canned soup things. You know that ad “Fully loaded man’s got ball of meat”? Well at least I think that’s how the ad goes. It’s a random-Panda ad (ok ok I’m trying to get something caught on here. Random-Panda, or if you say it fast it enough “Randa-Panda”) but the soup is quite nice, if you get past the momentary blindness from the soup. No no no I’m kidding.

Okay that wasn’t quite the one I was looking for, but it’s close enough.

Speaking of manly (loving my segways?), there is a duo that’s NOT SO MANLY but still pretty fully-loaded. Yes I’m speaking about the HAMISH AND ANDY SHOW! Specifically, their Podcasts.

Because you don’t look stupid enough on the train bopping to your music, but to actually be trying to suppress a very creepy smile when listening to Hamish trying to read Fred Baset while being chased down by cars…

TETRIS! No segway there but they don’t NEED one!

(Whoever was playing that during the screen shot is an epic noob…I mean LOOK AT IT!)

I’ve been trying to beat my best score of 1:38 on Tetrisfriends Sprint for about a month now. I know the time is quite shit, compared to oh, Dom’s 58 seconds, but I’m trying my best okay?!

Yu-Gi-Oh, the Abridged Series. I’ve watched most of the episodes, and yes, I have been quoting “ATTENTION DUELISTS! MY HAIR IS NOW AN INTERNET PHENOMENON!”

And finally, I know this is a waste of time, I’m addicted to uberly long phone calls. I’ve been calling (or have been called by) Catherine for nearly every night and we’re just chatting and chatting and I’m not letting her study. Which is shit for her because she has an exam on Wednesday. But phone conversations are awesome, and as Train said, “Can you imagine no…five hour phone conversations, the best soy latte that you ever had, and me?”

I thought that was a funny picture, because that’s what Catherine’s probably doing every time.

Well, that’s all for today. Just wanted to update and be awesome, as always.

NCIS and HIMYM finished for the season (like, a week ago, but anyway) and so right now I’m just catching up on Merlin and Ghost Whisperer. I suppose I should put those two on as well.

Could her shirt  BE any more open?

Happy Easter

I don’t really celebrate easter, but seeing as this post doesn’t have a central theme, I might as well wish everyone a happy, fun but mostly SAFE easter. Sure the road death toll isn’t that crazy high, but you don’t know the number of people who are maimed for life. They’re never mentioned.

Today I got up with a bad scratched throat. I thought to myself, “oh shit, you’re getting glandular.” Well I still don’t know if this is glandular I’m just going to hope it’s a bad cold.

Anyway, I was reading about how Dom played Tetris on the DS a lot so I decided to down  – ahem buy legitimately – the Tetris game on DS. On my way, I also bought Monsters Vs Aliens the game, some random Naruto game, and this:

Dani was the one who introduced me to this. It’s one of those rhythm games, like Guitar Hero or DDR. It’s quite addictive, with many levels and TB voices and it even has, as one of the tracks, the Mario themes, as well as all the oldies video game themes.

Tomorrow is Eunice’s baptism. And then after that I’m going to Chadstone to find sweaters and a bag. But damn I hate feeling sick.

I’m really looking forward to seeing Monsters Vs Aliens, seeing as in the video game, B.O.B. (voiced by Seth Rogen) is SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY AS! He just randomly blobs around and swallows random crap. And we all know movies are 10x better than games. That’s why I’m not going to play much of the game until I’ve seen the movie.

Otherwise, life is fine. I tried FaceStalking yesterday. It was morbidly interesting (er…morbid may not be the word, I just meant there was a morbid fascination). I knew what I was doing was oh-so-beneath me but I still did it anyway. It wasn’t hard. And no Carmaine, I’m not referring to my reading your comment to Bee. I meant…someone else.

And Cheryl is addicted too. Haha. I win. And she took quizzes just like I did. And my quizzes came up with funny answers. I’m apparently a baby dyke who, while being unperverted, is ready to try anything in the bedroom in the heat of the moment.

Be afraid.
